Course Overview
This intensive 80-hour training program is designed to prepare fire service, rescue, and emergency response personnel to safely and effectively perform rope rescue operations in accordance with NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications. The course progresses from Awareness through Operations to Technician-level competencies, ensuring participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to operate in low-angle, high-angle, confined space, and complex rope rescue environments.
Through a balanced combination of classroom instruction, hands-on skill development, scenario-based evolutions, and formal evaluation, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of rope rescue principles, equipment systems, risk management, and operational leadership in technical rescue incidents.
This course is ideal for departments seeking to build or enhance technical rescue capability, prepare personnel for certification, and strengthen operational readiness for rope rescue incidents.
